Johnson & Johnson Collaborates with the Government of Canada to Supply its Ad26.COV2.S for COVID-19

Shots:

  • Janssen signs an agreement in principle with the Government of Canada to supply its COVID-19 vaccine- ensuring broad Canadian access to Ad26.COV2.S- following Health Canada’s approval
  • In addition- a final agreement will be determined in due course under which the Government of Canada would purchase ~38M doses of Janssen’s vaccine candidate on a not-for-profit basis for emergency pandemic use
  • The vaccine is currently being evaluated in P-I/IIa study in the US and Belgium while the company is planning for conducting P-III study following interim data of the P-I/IIa studies and approval of regulators
